- Henry Sherry had Keller Plaza built in 1883, but at the time it was known as Henry Sherry's Post Office Block. He used it for his real estate business and lumber business.
- The first businesses in the building were:
- 137 - U.S. Express Company - A Savings Bank
139 - U.S. Express Company
143 - Wheeler & Jennings Lumber Co.
145 - U.S. Post Office - The post office had a revolving door that was popular with the community boys.
